Challenge
The Linx Kooragang facility required a comprehensive
roof replacement after prolonged exposure to harsh
industrial conditions had caused significant
deterioration of the existing roof sheeting and
supporting steel purlins.
Delivering the works within a live logistics facility
required careful planning to safely manage construction
activities while improving the building’s ventilation,
weather protection and long-term performance.

RCR Services delivered a complete roof replacement
incorporating structural steel remediation, protective
coating systems and passive ventilation upgrades.
Existing roof sheeting was removed, steel purlins were
mechanically prepared and coated with a highperformance epoxy system before installation of the new
roofing system.
Aircycle roof ventilators were installed
across the roof to improve airflow and reduce heat loads,
while careful project staging, crane coordination and
responsible recycling of removed roofing materials
ensured the works were completed safely and efficiently.
