OUR SOLUTION FOR
Pacific Bay Resort
CASE STUDY
Challenge
Our site inspection showed that the existing Bituminous membrane system, crucial in concrete roofing, had failed over the complete deck area and is allowing direct water penetration internally. It was noted that the existing membrane is covered with insulation and ballasted with gravel.
Objectives
Our primary objective is to address the water penetration issues on the Terrace Roof, a key aspect of our commercial roofing services. We successfully provided a comprehensive remedial waterproofing solution, aligning with our expertise as concrete roofing repair specialists. This involved removing the existing materials and installing 30mm thick insulation boards, followed by a two-layer torch-on sheet membrane system. The ultimate goal was to ensure the roof is fully waterproofed and functional, which we achieved.
solutions
Our roof repair solutions included removing the existing gravel, insulation foam, and associated matting and fully re-waterproofing the roof decks. In order to re-insulate and re-waterproof the Terrace roof deck, we retained the existing membrane and mechanically fixed 30mm thick insulation boards from Dynamic Composite Technologies through the existing membrane into the concrete slab.
We then installed a two-layer torch-on sheet membrane system over the insulation boards to fully waterproof the complete roof area. This method, proven in commercial roofing repair, has been effectively implemented to ensure the entire roof area is now fully waterproof, guaranteeing long-term protection and functionality.
